Help Us Fund African Centred Community Healing & Our Services
Our community is hurting. Help us respond. Help us heal.
Nubia Wellness and Healing (NWAH) CIC is responding to the spiritual crisis, communal grief and community trauma surrounding the tragic death of Professor Jason Arday. We recognise this period as a Maafa—a profound communal trauma requiring spaces for people of African ancestry to rest, reconnect, heal and move forward.

If 20 people laid a stone that would cover our core running costs for a week, if 8 people added gold we would pay the cost of our online platform for a year, if 4 people bought a vibranium package it would pay our accountancy fees for one year. The village can keep the village open.

Support Our Work
Support the First Academic Book on African Psychology from a UK Perspective
Nubia Wellness and Healing (NWAH) CIC is proud to have been selected by the British Psychological Society (BPS) to write what is believed to be the first academic book on African Psychology from a UK perspective.
This is an important opportunity to contribute to the development of psychology, broaden representation within academic literature, and make African centred psychological knowledge more accessible to practitioners, students, and communities.
To do this project justice, Dr Erica McInnis needs dedicated writing time away from the demands of day to day work. We are therefore seeking support to fund a series of academic writing retreats focused entirely on completing this landmark publication.
Our fundraising target is £1,800, which will fund three academic writing retreats at approximately £600 each over the course of the writing project.
Every contribution, large or small, will help make this possible. Thank you for helping us bring this important piece of scholarship into the world.
With gratitude,
Nubia Wellness and Healing (NWAH) CIC
About Your Donations, Where & How They are used
Transparency. Purpose. Impact.
At Nubia Wellness and Healing CIC, we value trust and transparency. Every donation we receive is used intentionally to support our mission of advancing African psychology-based wellness, healing, education, and community empowerment.
Your contribution directly supports real people, real communities, and real transformation.
Community Healing Programmes
Your support helps us run and expand Emotional Emancipation Circles, group healing spaces, and community wellbeing sessions. These programmes provide safe, culturally grounded environments for reflection, healing, and connection.
Subsidised and Free Access
We are committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent people from accessing support. Donations help subsidise or fully fund participation for individuals and families who would otherwise be unable to afford our programmes.
Education and Training
We develop and deliver workshops, courses, and learning resources rooted in African psychology and culturally responsive practice. Your donation helps us create accessible educational materials and expand our online learning platform.
Community Outreach and Inclusion
Part of your contribution supports outreach initiatives that bring healing resources to underserved communities in the UK and internationally, ensuring that those most in need are not left behind.
