Our Approach

Nubia Wellness and Healing CIC exists to improve emotional wellbeing, strengthen cultural identity, and increase access to approaches to healing that are rooted in African-centred knowledge and practice. Through collective spaces, professional support, education, and practical tools, we help individuals and communities move from surviving to thriving.

We have delivered Emotional Emancipation Circles (SM) since 2016 across the country eg London, Manchester, Lincolnshire and internationally online . For online school say got just under a thousand delegates signed up, courses from a few weeks to 18 months.  Courses range from child development to honouring your ancestors, to learning African Psychology.  We can also do bespoke courses for your organisation.

Our Impact

Community Healing Circles & Facilitator Training

Our healing circles create safe, culturally affirming spaces where people of African ancestry can process experiences, build meaningful connections, and strengthen emotional wellbeing. Alongside this, we equip facilitators with the knowledge and confidence to lead healing spaces themselves—creating sustainable, community-led networks of support that continue long beyond individual sessions.

Education in African Psychology

We increase access to knowledge that is often overlooked within mainstream education and wellbeing systems. Through African psychology education, participants gain deeper understanding of identity, relationships, behaviour, and healing from an African-centred perspective—building confidence, self-awareness, and stronger foundations for long-term wellbeing.

Supervision for Trained Therapists

We strengthen professional practice by offering culturally informed supervision that supports psychologists to reflect, develop, and deliver more responsive services. This investment in practitioners contributes to safer, more effective therapeutic relationships and better outcomes for the communities they serve.

Healing Residential Retreats

Our retreats provide dedicated time and space for participants to step away from everyday demands and immerse themselves in healing practices that nurture mind, body, and spirit. Participants leave feeling restored, more connected to themselves and others, and empowered with practical approaches to sustain wellbeing in daily life.

Speaking, Teaching, Workshops & Consultancy

Through thought leadership, training, and consultancy, we influence wider systems and practice by increasing understanding of culturally responsive approaches to healing and wellbeing. Our work supports organisations and professionals to build more inclusive environments and improve engagement with African heritage communities.

Individual Therapy & Coaching

Our one-to-one therapeutic support creates opportunities for individuals to explore challenges in a supportive, culturally grounded environment. Through therapy, people develop greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and practical tools that support healthier relationships, improved wellbeing, and personal growth.

African-Centred Wellness Products

Our journals, affirmation cards, and wellness resources make healing practices accessible beyond structured sessions and programmes. Designed to encourage reflection, self-care, and personal growth, these products help individuals embed positive wellbeing habits into everyday life while remaining connected to culturally rooted approaches to healing.
